Going 100% Libre with Gentoo
While using the GNU free distributions is definitively a good choice. Gentoo wiki released a guide on going 100% libre with Gentoo.
This is interestin because of its emphasis on user choice. Meaning that you're not really sacrificing much compared to using other distros.
